Tonight we decided to meet daddy for dinner at Pizza Hut. On our way to Jazzercise we passed it and I told the boys we were going there for dinner. Aidan said "do they hunt for pizza."

The boys had a visit from the 'hydentist' today at preschool- that would be the dental hygienist.

Our little Buckeyes

As you all probably know Aaron is a HUGE OSU marching band fan. On a daily basis you can find him in his room with the OSU marching band CD blasting. I had to move the instruments down stairs because I can only do so much tuning out. Well, Aaron now has a partner in crime. I think Carter enjoys the band just as much as Aaron. The second he hears the band CD he stops what he is doing and heads straight for the boys room. He does this little dance - its the lower and lift dance - it is tooooooo cute. Today Adam had just Carter in the car and turned the band CD on and Carter started pump his fist to the music.
Aaron has perfect timing on the O-H-I-O in Hang On Sloopy.
Aidan enjoys the music but he would much rather be throwing the football. Aidan and Daddy were throwing the football (in the house I might add) the other night and Adam said he had great spiral throw. And Aidan says "I am good at throwing it, just not at catching it".
They start soccer in April and I am really anxious to see how they do.

Who let the cats out

The other day the boys came home singing WHO LET THE DOGS OUT - WHO, WHO, WHO.  I asked them to sing it for dad at dinner tonight.  Later on Aidan created a version of his own and sang, WHO LET THE CATS OUT, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW.  

Our weekend Sam the Bear

Sam the traveling bear from school came home with Aidan this weekend and this was our journal entry.

Well, Sam had another eventful weekend at our house. Mom picked us up from school on Friday and surprised us when she told us we were going to a basketball game. Our aunt Michelle cheers for Ballard and it was senior night. This is the last time we will get to see her cheer before next year – then we will get to watch her cheer for UL – go aunt Michelle!
On Saturday we went to see Peter Rabbit at the Derby Dinner Playhouse. While we were waiting to get in our Nonnie bought us a stuffed Peter Rabbit. Sam was really happy to have some company during the play. Before the play we got to eat a great big buffet breakfast. We had great seats and got to sit on the floor right by the stage.
We really enjoyed the play and our baby brother even sat through the whole thing.
Saturday night Mom, Aaron, Sam and I had pizza and movie night. We watched Snow Buddies – it was really good.
Our Daddy got home late Saturday night after we were asleep from him buying trip in Portland, OR. We were really excited to wake up and see him today. We just had a lazy day at home today. Dad told us all about his trip and showed us lots of pictures. We did get to go with Daddy to the nursery to water plats. Sam stayed home with Mommy and Carter so he did not get dirty. Dad made dinner and gave us baths tonight – we are so glad to have him back home!
Sam and I are all tucked in bed now. We have had so much fun with Sam the past two weekends and we are so glad to be able to return in all safe and sound!

Carter, Carter, Carter

Oh baby Carter - our little wild child.  Carter's favorite places to be are anywhere he should not be.  As soon as he started walking at 11 months we always found him playing in the toilets.  You are probably thinking just put the lid down, but try telling that to 3 year old twins EVERY time they go to the bathroom.  I do have to admit, they are pretty good about putting the seat down now.  

In the past month or so Carter has really leaned to climb.  A few weeks ago before we go smart and started closing the bathroom doors, we constantly found him in the bathroom sink.  He would clim onto the toilet and then up into the sink.  He liked to empty the Dixi cups out one by one.  Shortly after he started the sink thing he added the kitchen table to his list.  One mornings I was getting things loaded in the car and I came in to find him sitting in the middle of the table

 with the boys milk pored everywhere.  

Earlier this week I caught him moving the foot cube to the basement gate.  That one really scared me - I had images in my head all day long.  That same night (before I out all the cub

es away) he fell off the other foot cube and landed smack on the base of the floor lamp.  I literally watched his forehead swell up.  He is such a tough little guy - he really did not even cry that long, and I know it hurt.  It is the biggest knot I have seen YET on any of the boys.  

And one last favorite place - the bunk beds.  The first time he climbed the ladder Adam was making breakfast and Aidan started calli

ng "Dad, Dad."  Adam went in to find Carter on the top bunk and Aidan said "Dad, I watched him climb all the way to the top."  Way to look at for him boys :-).  Now every time the boys wake up we have to take the ladder down.  And when we do forget he is on it, and it does not take long to hear his squeals of excitement when he sees it is down.  When you go get him down he just giggles - he thinks is so funny.

This past Wed when I picked the boys up from school I asked how there day was.  The first thing out of their mouth was "someone 'tooted' at nap time", and boy did they think that was funny.  They are such boys!!!

During the week of the wind storms they issued tornado warnings.  Apparently they go into the basement for tornado drills.  The second we got into the car they said (with great excitement) "we got to keep our shoes on at nap" - incase they had to go to the basement.

So glad the most exciting part of there day was sleeping with there shoes on - good thing we pay the big bucks for preschool :-).

Sam the Bear

Just after Christmas break we got a letter that Sam the bear would be spending a weekend with each child in the class.  Sam hangs out with you all weekend and at the end of the weekend you write in the journal what you did and include pictures.  Last weekend was Aaron's weekend.  I have to admit I was slightly overwhelmed because we were already having company in from Columbus.  The thought of having to keep up with one more thing while we are out, plus it is not even ours.  Well Sam survived the Science Center, dinner out on Valentines day.  May I point out we took 9 people, 10 including Sam out to dinner on Valentines Day - are we totally crazy????  We called a head, so we only had to wait about an hour, but you could tell by the taste of the food they were really busy.  Sunday we had a nice relaxing day at home.

When I picked the boys up form school on Monday I asked if Mrs. Nickles read our journal entry.  Aaron got the biggest grin on his face and said 'yes and I got to stand up by her while she read it.'  The Aidan told me it was his turn next weekend.  And sure enough he was right.  Sam is back with us again this weekend.   May he survive another weekend - wish us luck!

Well I tried to start blogging shortly after Carter was born and I just could not stick to it.  Maybe it was the fact that we had 2 year old twins and a brand new baby.  I love to journal, but I would like to share our stories with other friends and family members.  And honestly, I don't know that boys, in general, would ever read a journal of there life.  Sooooooo, with that said lets give this another shot.
